Jenga
Nintendo DS, Wii

The popular party block game of skill and precision is now here in digital form and sees players pitted against human or AI opponents in a bid to keep the tower standing.

Jenga features many environments and themes, adding new dimensions, twists and fantasy elements to the brand that the traditional version can't offer.

The Wii's remote and Nunchuk, and the DS's touch screen, offer the perfect opportunities for the video game version of Jenga, and we have some pretty special enhancements included.

About Atomic Planet

Atomic Planet Entertainment Limited (APE) are a game development studio based in the North East of England, which was formed in July 2000 by industry veterans Darren and Jason Falcus.

We develop video games and software for all of the current major consoles and platforms, including Microsoft Xbox, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Nintendo GameBoy Advance, Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo Wii, PC, Sony PlayStation 2, Sony PlayStation 3 and Sony PSP.

Our goal at APE is to remain one of the most successful and highly respected video game developers in the world. This vision is already taking shape in our recent games and upcoming releases, backed by a management team that has over 75 years of industry experience and which has worked on over 160 game sku's in a period of over 20 years.

People
Good experienced management and excellent development teams are the key to the running of this studio. Along with the management's extensive experience in the industry, each APE team has an experienced Producer and a team of designers, programmers and artists. These teams work in a great environment and an atmosphere that is conducive to a low turnover of staff.

We currently employ over 50 members of staff across a number of disciplines.

History
Darren and Jason Falcus started in the games industry in 1981, and formed their first development studio, Optimus Software, in 1988.

After merging with Iguana Entertainment in 1993, the company worked on the hugely successful NBA Jam games. Following this Acclaim bought the Iguana studios and opened up Acclaim Studios Teesside. The studio went on to expand to over 70 staff and was responsible for the development of the Shadowman series of games.

Having parted company with Acclaim in 2000, Darren and Jason founded Atomic Planet Entertainment. Since then the studio has grown steadily, completing many products over the past 7 years, including contracts for Codemasters, Capcom, Sony, Bethesda and Cinemaware.

Technology
Atomic Planet's technology is based around APETEC, an internally developed multiple platform engine and a comprehensive set of support tools.

This technology not only allows successful development of quality games on time and on budget, it allows APE to rapidly prototype new ideas which serves two purposes: to allow a publisher to get a clearer idea of the game and its mechanics, and to allow the studio more time to spend on working at perfecting and maximising the gameplay experience.

APETEC currently boasts rendering power of over 12 million polys per second, has a flexible animation system and dynamic lighting effects.
